Amani Coker-Warren

Team Member

Amani Coker- Warren offers extensive experience serving youth in the following capacities:

  • School Counselor
  • Consultant for teachers in the area of emotional health
  • Senior Program Coordinator for The Young Woman’s Project

From 2009-2011, Ms. Warren attended the University of Chicago School of Social Service Administration with a concentration in Community Schools and School Social Work. While attending, Ms. Warren served as a research assistant for the 30 Million Words Project where she created and presented early childhood literacy interventions to families. Ms. Warren began her career in education as a First Grade teacher at Global Leadership Academy Charter School in Philadelphia, PA after graduating from Spelman College

  • Ms. Warren supports Akoben by providing trainings and consultation
  • Ms. Warren has been with Akoben since 2018
