The Adultification of Black Girls in Schools

Participants in this workshop will learn strategies for stopping the practice of adultification and the inner work necessary to apply those strategies with fidelity.

Learning objectives:

• To explore adultification, its intersections, and impact on Black girls in schools.

• To examine the ways in which structural and institutional racism show up in schools.

• To identify restorative tools to counter adultification in the classroom.
