Niyah Padin is a Philadelphia native, currently working as an administrative assistant for Akoben LLC and our sister company, Transforming Lives, Inc. She began this position during her senior year of college and transitioned to a full time team member upon graduating with her bachelor’s degree from the University of Delaware in May of 2022.
During her undergraduate career, Niyah majored in both Africana Studies and Communications with a Public Relations concentration. Her passion for culture, representation, diversity, and equity led her to work as a Diversity Enrichment Leader under the Office of Admissions.
As a reinstating member of the Xi Chapter of Corazones Unidos Siempre Chi Upsilon Sigma National Latin Sorority, Inc., Niyah held various leadership positions, hosted educational, political, cultural and social events, and gained an immense amount of professional development opportunities and experiences. When she isn’t working at Akoben, Niyah invests her time into her growing business, The Anjali Artistry, providing professional lash extension and make-up services to 100+ clients.
Growing up in North Philadelphia and later moving to Wilmington, Delaware has shaped her character and drive. Through her experiences as a Latina, her environment and her unique education, she has gained the desire to do work that fulfills her spirit. As a woman who genuinely loves connection and community, she commits herself to empowering women of color and serving underrepresented communities.
